Men's Discipleship

The purpose of this Ministry is to carry out Jesus’ command to “make disciples” as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20 who will make other disciples and those disciples will continue to disciple others (2 Timothy 2:2).  In other words it is to train up men to become fully devoted and mature followers of Jesus who will in turn train others into this same mature devotion to train others.

Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. 2 Timothy 2:2

This is accomplished through small discipleship groups that give men a foundation for maturing in their walk with the Lord in the company of other men who will SUPPORT, ENCOURAGE and provide ACCOUNTABILITY as they walk together as followers of Jesus and grow towards  spiritual maturity, submitting themselves to Jesus’ teaching and TRAINING themselves in Godliness through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. It is a relational ministry; meeting with two to eleven other men to discuss and apply the weekly study of God's Word as we live it out in our daily lives.

There is a two hour meeting once a week and one to two hours of personal bible study each week to prepare to discuss God's Word at that meeting.
